Multi-Method Qualitative Text and Discourse Analysis: A Methodological Framework

The growing interest in combining different approaches to qualitative text and discourse analysis has so far not been met with adapted methodological resources. This article aims address this gap by developing a framework for analysis. First, we introduce four traditions that identify as families of methods text/discourse logics: Discourse Analysis, Foucauldian Thematic Qualitative Content Analysis. Second, review the literature show how these have combined across disciplines case studies. Third, build upon existing unpack benefits challenges multi-method analysis, offer strategies help navigate problems may arise. Overall, introduces (MMQTDA) provide guidance solid foundations an emerging conversation research.
